Amanda Cauley

Welcome Coach Cauley to the Shreveport-Bossier area!

Coach Amanda Cauley has spent one season with RocketFuel Volleyball Club as the Head Coach of the Ruston program, and now, she and her family are moving to Shreveport-Bossier where she will continue helping to lead the RocketFuel program.

Coach Cauley led last season’s RocketFuel Ruston 14U team that included her daughter, Harper, who is an avid volleyball player. Cauley herself is an accomplished and decorated volleyball player. She hails from East Texas where she played in high school and then went on to play Division I volleyball at Louisiana Tech University.

Coach Cauley spent four of her years in Ruston establishing and building the volleyball program at Ruston High School. She began the program in 2014 along side former ULM Volleyball Alumni, Stephanie Wardach. Following their inaugural season, Wardach moved to Dallas and Cauley forged onward with the program.

During her four years as Head Coach, she led the Bearcats to two undefeated district championships, and one district runner-up.

Cauley is the mother of three girls: Harper, Baylor and Josie. Her husband, Nick, took a new position in Shreveport which is what led to the family move.

Chevy White Burnett

Chevy began her volleyball career at the age of twelve in Carthage, Texas. She was named to the All-District team all four years of high school and aided her team in their road to state, where they placed fourth in the 3A Division. For her high school team, she played middle and outside. Chevy also played outside and right side for East Texas Juniors.

Continuing her career into college, Chevy was awarded a Division I scholarship to play for Centenary College of Louisiana. She was a defensive specialist/libero and right side. After her sophomore year at Centenary, the college dropped to Division 3, forfeiting many of the volleyball scholarships. Chevy made the difficult decision to temporarily leave the sport in order to pursue an education at Texas A&M University. While in College Station, she competed in adult volleyball tournaments, ran a marathon, and ran a few half marathons - anything to stay active and compete. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Economics and a Minor in Business.

As a coach, Chevy’s versatility as a player enables her to provide coaching advice from first-hand experience. She has worked with various age groups and ability levels. In 2013, she coached for one of the first clubs in Shreveport, Northwest Louisiana Club Volleyball Association. After one season with NWLA, Chevy and fellow NWLA coach Katie Denton began Two Chicks Volleyball. They offered camps and clinics throughout the region and soon started the original TC Elite. While running Two Chicks Volleyball and TC Elite, Chevy also coached for the Shreveport Force, a local homeschool volleyball team. In 2015, the Force took home fourth in state and Chevy was named Coach of the Year. Chevy also continued her career as a player, competing in the 2016 Louisiana State games and placing second in sand doubles. In 2017, Chevy left Shreveport to pursue her career in film accounting, closing her Shreveport volleyball chapter.

In the winter of 2018, Chevy returned to the area. She currently works as an accountant for Fox on the television show, "Queen of the South" and resides in Shreveport with her husband Luke, son Nash, and dog Remi. She is excited and eager to resume coaching in the area – to aide in molding our youth into tough competitors, driven athletes, selfless teammates, and kind human beings.
